Played and Tested: Kodomo Toothpaste

Healthy teeth and oral hygiene is an important routine I would like Enzo and the entire family to have. I have shared with you all our healthy oral hygiene in my previous post. You can check it out here:Healthy Oral Hygiene for Toddlers. Part of having a healthy oral hygiene is a toothpaste that the little boy loves. We learned it is difficult to make the little boy brush his teeth if he does not enjoy his toothpaste. When I say enjoy in a toothpaste it includes minty sweet taste, and a lot of bubbles. Enzo loves it when he sees a lot of bubbles in his mouth when he brushes and we even try out a bubbles contest with him while brushing. hihi! So anyway, Kodomo is a toothpaste we have been using for about 2 years already. That is why I have the right to review it right? haha!:) Long overdue na nga ata ito.

Kodomos is Singapore’s number 1 Children Oral Brand, it was established in 1982 and believes in cultivating good dental habits for the young. They make use of Japan’s Lion Advance dental technology and Kodomo has developed different oral products for babies and children ages 6 months to 12 years old.

About Kodomo toothpaste:Contains Xylitol and Fluoride that strengthen teeth. Helps prevent plaque build-up, helps protect against cavities and helps fight tooth decay. Sugar-free and formulated for children.

Ingredients: sorbitol, water, silica, xylitol, propylene glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Algin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Saccharin,  Sodium Fluoride, Methylparaben, Butylparaben,

The first time I saw Kodomo toothpaste is n Shopwise while we were doing our usual grocery. I was looking for an alternative toothpaste for Enzo he did not prefer his current toothpaste at that time. I was also looking for an affordable toothpaste so upon seeing the price of Php31.00 for a 45g tube. After Enzo’s first use, I was a little nervous that he might not like it again. But fortunately, he enjoyed it especially the strawberry flavor which is a little minty too. As  I also said, he loves that its bubbly and so he loves to repeat brushing. He even reminds me that he needs to brush his teeth, sarap sa pakiramdam nun diba?hihi

I also love that it has Xylitol because it strengthens the teeth, and removes stains. Though toddlers’ teeth are still milk teeth it is still important to take care of it because it is the foundation of their adult teeth. How they take care of their milk teeth will have a long term effect on their permanent teeth. It would also be less expensive because you can prevent braces or other dental treatments. For us, Kodomo is and still will be our partner in taking care of Enzo’s teeth. Kodomo has four flavors: Strawberry, Grape, Orange and Apple. It is also available in all leading supermarkets.
