Discover an easy way to stay healthy with 100% Grape Juice

I am a juice lover. After more than a year of not drinking soft drinks I found some comfort in drinking fruit juices. Although I am often reminded by the husband that juices are also high in sugar which means parang hindi din ako nagstop from drinking soft drinks. That is why I am always in the look out for juices na pure or has less sugar content.

Recently, I was invited to attend Welch’s event at the Ayala the 30th which got me more informed about their grape juice. I have been seeing Welch’s in different stores and groceries, and saw some other bloggers drinking this juice before this event. I was intrigued to know about it more and of course see if Welch’s can be my substitute drink if I am avoiding too much sugar.

The event started with a video about Welch’s and an opening remark from the VP Marketing Ms. Erika Rodriguez. Then some raffle prizes were given and I was lucky to be one of the winners! The event was very informative as two mommies shared their stories of raising up their children and share a bit of the reason why they love Welch’s products. Afterwards, a nutrition talk was given which made clear reminders on the dangers of dieting or depriving oneself of nutrition. It is best as advised to stick to a diet which offers all nutrition to the body but to the right extent. Experts recommend 100% fruit juices as healthy complements to whole fruits. While whole fruits are a great source of fiber, 100% fruit juices also carry essential vitamins and minerals needed by the body to function well and prevent many chronic diseases. For instance, 8 ounces of pure fruit juice such as Welch’s 100% grape juice are equivalent to serving a whole cup of fruit. It was added that drinking 100% fruit juice from grapes may actually provide us with more polyphenols than eating the fruit, without causing weight gain. Making a pure grape juice involves crushing the fruit, including seeds and dark purple skin, which releases more of these nutrients. Also, pure fruit juice only uses naturally occurring fruit sugars, without any added sugars. More than a decade’s worth of research suggests that 100% grape juice can help support a healthy heart.

Chefs from CCA also introduced different menu to do at home that used Welch’s 100% grape juice. They made Grape Berry Crunch Muffins, Grape and tomato salsa, and Grape Banana Smoothie.
